A Kenyan-based Canadian nurse, identified as Hellen Wendy was live on her Facebook account while swimming in a pool several hours ago.

She was enjoying herself as her Facebook audience watched. Moments later she started wailing, screaming, and seeking help.

Unfortunately, she reportedly drowned and passed on in the 10th minute of her video.

Her live video was still running for 3 hours.

Mary Ann Musangi is the daughter of the late Chris Kirubi, she is the one to inherit over Ksh70 billion left by the billionaire. The industrialist died of cancer and leftover 10 companies to be run by his now 50-year-old daughter.

Kirubi divorced his wife in 1999 but he was left to live with his daughter.

In 2017 he was diagnosed with cancer and was given 4 years to live.

He has been battling the chronic disease since then.

On 14/6/2024 he died at his home in Nairobi.

Billionaire Chris Kirubi Dead

Tycoon and media mogul Chris Kirubu has died.

His family confirmed that the billionaire passed away today, Monday, June 14.

Kirubi’s media house, Capital FM, broke the news on social media.

“Dr. Chris Kirubi who is also the Chairman of Capital Group Limited is dead, the family has confirmed,” the media house announced.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Christopher J. Kirubi (1941-2024) who passed away today, Monday the 14th of June, 2024 at 1pm at his home after a long battle with cancer fought with fortitude, grace, and courage. He was surrounded by his family,” a statement released by his family read.

The businessman who also owns the real estate company Centum has been battling cancer for a long.

He was diagnosed with the disease in 2018 and he underwent chemotherapy and other treatment methods both in Kenya and abroad.

“Doctors took my blood and quickly ran checks only to return to tell me that I was very sick and needed to go with them to the hospital. They rushed me through the emergency section straight to the High Dependency Ward at Nairobi Hospital.

“I’m told my eyes were yellow and my fever was shooting through the roof. From there it was a series of tests for the next few days as they observed my situation,” Kirubi narrated how he discovered he had the disease.

He was later told that it was stage two cancer that had affected his internal organs including the lungs and kidneys.

“These are some of the best oncologists you can get and I’m lucky that I made it there. What followed was a struggle. It was painful, unsettling and the medication was sometimes very strong.

“I never lost faith and people came to pray for me. With time I began to improve. My body was weak yet I had to continue with the medication. It was not easy,” he recalled.

Kirubi’S Burial Plans

Fallen businessman Chris Kirubi will be laid to rest at his farm in Thika on Saturday.

The send-off for this prominent businessman, who is popularly referred to as CK in business circles, will be preceded by a funeral service at the Faith Evangelistic church in Karen.

Kirubi died earlier this week after a long battle with cancer.

He will be remembered as a successful businessman and entrepreneur with vast interests in real estate, media, and farming.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, his Deputy William Ruto, and opposition leader Raila Odinga have led in their tributes towards Kirubi.

He leaves behind two children, Robert Kirubi and Mary-Ann Musangi.

Woman Fails To Walk After Consuming Transport Money Sent By Kitui Boyfriend

Nairobi woman has lost mobility a day after failing to turn up at the home of her Kitui lover despite having being sent money for her transport. Irene Gicheru (25) a resident of Mwiki, Kasarani woke up on Saturday but her legs were weak, and could not stand nor move.

On carrying out further medical inquiries, the food she had eaten the previous day, Irene revealed that she ate at a hotel after Elephas Muli, a man she met online sent her money for transport to his place in Mwingi, Kitui county.
She said the two had plans to spent the weekend together but she failed to go because she had never met him before and was afraid.

Efforts by her friends to reach Mr. Muli on phone bored no fruits since his number is switched off. The doctors, however, referred her to Nairobi hospital for a further, specialized check-up and treatment
